Contributors to WikiVoyager must be either tour operators, travel agents or travel writers as those terms are generally accepted in the travel industry, or may also be employees of official tourism authorities.
Each travel agent or tour operator contributor must be registered as either a tour operator or a travel agent at Travel Research Online and, in the case of a travel agent, affiliated with a recognized travel organization such as ASTA, ARTA, NACTA, OSSN and have a history of booking travel for members of the public.
During Phase II, we will have mechanisms for promoting our contributors in each of their respective categories - travel writers, travel agents and tour operators - to the general public.
In particular, we are looking for individuals possessing an intimate familiarity with a destination. The kind of familiarity that can provide insider tips from which other travel professionals will benefit.
